Long live pixelshout, too many repetitive links, forum needs to be the homepage

As I see it, forums are dying. They were like social networking back in the early 2000s but now with Facebook, Twitter, etc. the only forums still around are support forums. Other than that I can't see any example of a thriving internet forum. If we want to continue as a community we should move away from internet forum software. I think one really good example of community software is Typepad Motion (I'm on a PS3 so you'll have to google it yourself.) It's got much of the same features of a forum but it's more modern and well done. Forums haven't changed much as there really isn't anything to evolve into.
